hands-on therapy for

inflammation, pain and

performance optimization

Traditional manual and physical therapies often focus on muscle and it’s relationship to the nervous system; we think there’s much more to the story. Our fascia-centered approach can get to the source of your issue quickly.

Do you suffer from chronic pain in your back, neck, or joints? · Do you suffer from pain that has been hard to diagnose or treat? · Are you trying to optimize physical health and performance? · Are you suffering from brain fog, having trouble sleeping, suffering from anxiety/PTSD, or recovering from concussion/TBI? · Does pain from old injuries keep resurfacing? · Are traditional treatments or anti-inflammatories no longer helping you?

We know how challenging and frustrating solving these issues can be, and we believe we can do it together. That’s why we specialize in a groundbreaking new osteopathic manual therapy technique called Fascial Counterstrain to help calm your nervous system and stop pain at its source so you can be the vibrant and pain-free version of yourself you’ve been looking for.

I have seen Gabriel Skinner for several different issues over many years, including for sciatica, a back injury (car accident), and other general sports injuries to my knees, wrists neck and hips. He has used a range of techniques to help heal, strengthen, relieve pain, and improve range of motion. He is a good diagnostician and hands-on therapist with a whole-body approach. He’s a gentle, focused, attentive, and thorough health care provider. If I were still in the DC area, I would still be seeing him.

I have know Gabriel for quite a while, he kept me moving and relatively pain for many years before having both hips replaced. He continued to help me throughout my recovery to bring me back to a life of adventure and worldwide travel to Africa, China, Southeast Asia, Europe, Turkey, and South America. He is a kind, intelligent man whom is always studying and learning new treatments and therapy techniques. If one thing doesn’t work he will often find something else that does. When he moved away from Washington, DC, he referred me to another therapist whom continues working with me to this day. Because of Gabriel I am able, at the age of 87, to live a healthy, pain-free life and travel wherever I wish. He has been a blessing to me.

We are both 78 and began working with Gabriel in 2015: Nelson to address the lingering effects on his neck and hip from a serious bicycle accident in 2010 and Cecilia for continuing thigh pain after hip replacement surgery in 2002 and a torn rotator cuff suffered in a fall earlier that year.

We saw Gabe regularly (usually twice a month) until he left the DC area and both experienced less pain, improved balance and more flexibility. He is a wonderful manual therapist who referred us to, and coordinated with, our physical therapist to design treatment plans for specific problems. With his help and encouragement, we have avoided surgery and continue to work on our strength and flexibility a decade later. We miss Gabriel a lot and would be working with him if he was still here!
